Notes These early works by sculptor Barbara Cooper are constructed from bits of plants held together with wax and then cast into bronze, patinated, and painted. Each one-of-a-kind object is inspired by a common household tool-a brush, a whisk, a ladle. These are among the artist's first explorations of organic form, a subject she continues to investigate today in large-scale wooden sculptures.
